Having a strong talent pool at your company is vital to growth and success. Past methods for finding and acquiring talent are inefficient and time consuming by today’s standards. And a resume can only say so much about a person. There are many new ways to find talent that will match your company’s culture. By using rich media – blog posts, podcast, tweets, YouTube videos, LinkedIn updates – we can more accurately see an applicant’s personality and value.
We needed to fill an open position for an administrative assistant here at Spyder Trap. We had over 150 applicants from our recent job post.
Instead of rummaging through a pile of resumes to see who’s the right match, we are hosting a hiring party today. It’s sort of speed dating for a job, if you will. We have invited several applicants to come in and meet the team today from 3-5pm.
